Headteacher for Graven Hill Primary School announced

The Warriner Multi Academy Trust is delighted to announce that the headteacher of Graven Hill Primary School will be Mr Matt Green.

Having qualified as a teacher from Oxford Brookes University, Matt entered the profession in 2006 and has 17 years experience in the primary sector.  He has been involved in leadership for 10 of those years; first as a deputy headteacher and then as a headteacher, working alongside Dr Annabel Kay since 2012. He has taught in all phases of primary education. Matt has vast experience and expertise in curriculum design and successfully led his previous school out of ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’. At the request of the Department for Education, Matt took over the headship of his current school in October 2019 and successfully led it out of ‘Special Measures’ shortly afterwards.

Dr Annabel Kay (CEO of the Warriner Multi Academy Trust) said “It was really important to us to ensure that we had the very best headteacher to lead the team at Graven Hill as it grows. Matt is an inspirational leader with a huge amount of experience. I know that he will work with his staff and the Graven Hill community to provide our children with a school that we can all be proud of.”

Matt added “I am incredibly humbled to have been offered the headship of Graven Hill Primary School by the Warriner Multi Academy Trust, an offer that I am delighted to accept. I am very much looking forward to meeting our children and families over the coming weeks and months as we all work together to open our school.”
